IVA CONTRACTS REGISTER

The new Government Information (Public Access) Act requires government agencies to record and publish certain information about contracts with private sector bodies.

Contracts covered by the Act are those:
• between Illawarra Venues Authority and a private sector contractor
• signed after 1 January 2007 and still current
• estimated value of $150,000 or more

Employment contracts are not covered by the Act.

Not all information contained in contracts can be released. Illawarra Venues Authority cannot publish details that contain the following confidential information:
• the commercial-in-confidence provisions of a contract
• details of any unsuccessful tender
• any matter that could reasonably be expected to affect public safety or security
• any information where there is an overriding public interest against disclosure.

Information about our contracts will be included in the register within 60 days of the contract becoming effective and remain on the register for at least 30 days.

Class 1
Name of Contract Name and Address of the private sector contractor
  Details of any related company that may be involved in carrying out the contractual obligations
  Date contract became effective and its duration
  Particulars of the project or goods or services to be provided under the contract
  Estimated amount payable to the contractor and any allowable variations to that amount
  Any renegotiation provisions
  Method of tendering and criteria for assessment, if appropriate
  Any provision for payment to the contractor for operational or maintenance services
