10th Birthday Celebrations

WIN ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE 10TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

The WIN Entertainment Centre celebrates its 10th birthday on September 3rd 2008. Plans are well underway to celebrate a great ten years of sport, entertainment, business and community involvement.

As part of the celebrations we are planning to compile a Peoples Choice CD. Simply you, the fans, get to pick your top five acts that have played at the venue from September 1998 to the present. We will compile the list and come up with the top sixteen to eighteen acts and compile a Peoples Choice CD of the acts best works.

The CD will be launched in September 2008 and will be available to purchase from the WEC.

Everyone who votes goes into the draw to attend the WECs 10th Birthday Gala Dinner at the WIN Entertainment Centre on Wednesday, 3rd September 2008 plus overnight accommodation at the Novotel and transfers within the Illawarra region. Terms and Conditions apply

As previously mentioned the WEC will host a Gala Dinner on Wednesday 3rd September 2008 to celebrate our 10th Birthday. The night will look back on ten years of providing the region with international sport, entertainment, business and community involvement. The night will feature video highlights and no doubt a surprise or two.

Another birthday project to be unveiled will be a book outlining the history of the site which now features the WIN Entertainment Centre and WIN Stadium. For over a hundred years this site has been a vocal point for the community to gather, celebrate, play and protest, in some cases. The book titled ’On Common Ground’ will reflect on some of the key community leaders and event which have shaped the site up to its current development.

Finally, we hope that this year will see some very special acts and entertainment help celebrate our first ten years and we hope that you will also enjoy the celebrations, after all it is your venue.
